Link insertion
A link in a pagealready indexed.
Link insertions, also called niche edits, add your link to an article that's already published and indexed. We vet the page, you approve it, and you pay once it's live.

Link insertions and niche edits, explained
A link insertion is a link added to an article that's already live. Niche edit is another name for the same thing. Nothing new gets published.
- 01
An existing article
The page is already published, already indexed and already has readers. We ask its editor to add a sentence or a reference that points to your page.
- 02
In the body, in context
The link sits in the text of an article on your page's topic, where a reader would expect it. Not in a footer, a sidebar or a list of sponsors.
- 03
No new article to wait for
There's nothing to write, pitch and schedule, so an insertion usually goes live sooner than a guest post.
- 04
A page with a history
An older article can already have links of its own and search traffic. A new guest post starts with neither.
Link insertion or a guest post?
An insertion isn't always the better link. We'll tell you which one fits each page in your plan.
An insertion is better when
- The right article already exists on a site you want, and your page fits it.
- The page is already indexed and gets search traffic for your topic.
- Other sites already link to that article.
- You'd rather not wait for a new article to be written and published.
A guest post is better when
- No existing article fits your page without forcing it.
- You want a full piece in your own words, for a new audience.
- The editor doesn't change published articles.
- The article is old enough that it's likely to be pruned or rewritten.
How we vet the page
Most of the risk in a link insertion is the page it sits on. We check it before you ever see it.
- 01
Traffic
The site clears our traffic floor as well as a DR floor: 1,000+ organic visits a month for Standard, 5,000+ for Plus. DR alone is easy to fake.
- 02
Relevance
The article is about your page's topic, so the link reads as a reference, not an ad.
- 03
Still indexed
We check the article is in Google's index today. A link on a page that's dropped out of the index is worth little.
- 04
Not a link farm
If a site exists to sell links, or its articles are stacked with unrelated outbound links, we don't use it. No casino, adult, CBD or crypto placements.
How it works
- STEP 01
Free link plan
The pages worth pushing, and the existing articles that could carry a link to each one.
- STEP 02
You approve the page
The article's URL, the site's DR and traffic, the sentence we'd propose and the credit cost. Say no to any.
- STEP 03
We ask the editor
One to one, with a reason the link helps their readers. Nothing changes without the editor's yes.
- STEP 04
Receipt, then rechecks
A receipt when it's live, and we keep checking it. Credits are used only when the receipt says LIVE.
Proof the link is there.
Every insertion ends as a receipt: the page, the anchor, the site's DR and traffic, dofollow and indexed, and live today. Links do disappear. Of 378 links placed from 2024 to 2026 that we could still check, 306 were there, so about 1 in 5 had gone. If a link drops within 6 months, we replace it free.

Fair questions
- Are niche edits the same as link insertions?
- Yes. Both mean adding a link to an article that's already published. We call them link insertions.
- How much does a link insertion cost?
- The same as any link with us, priced by the site's tier: a single Standard link is $250, Plus $500 and Premium from $1,000, quoted per site. On a plan, Standard is 1 credit, from $900 a month for 4. You're billed only once it's live.
- What if the link is removed later?
- We keep checking after it goes live. If a placed link is removed or turned nofollow within 6 months, we replace it on a site of the same tier at no charge, or return its credits.
- Can I choose the anchor text?
- You can suggest it. The editor has the last word, and a plain anchor that fits the sentence is more likely to be accepted and to stay.
- Do you promise rankings?
- No one honest can. We promise what we can prove: where the link is, what it says and that it's live.
- Who's behind LinkHatch?
- LinkHatch is a service by Incify, a marketing company that has been building links for clients since 2017. We find the sites, write to every editor and check every link ourselves, and a person at Incify approves everything we send.
