Crawl budget
Crawl budget is the number of pages a search engine will crawl on your site in a given period. It matters mostly for large sites.
Crawl budget is the amount of attention a search crawler gives your site. Google describes it as a mix of how much it can crawl without overloading your server and how much it wants to crawl based on the value of your pages.
Google has said most sites don't need to worry about it. It becomes an issue for very large sites with hundreds of thousands of URLs, or sites that generate endless URL variations through filters and parameters. Slow servers and lots of errors can also reduce crawling.
Practical point: for a normal business site, the better question is whether your important pages get crawled and indexed at all. Keep your sitemap clean, fix broken links and redirect chains, avoid creating endless low value URLs, and make sure key pages are linked from other pages on your site.
