Authority Score

Also called: AS

Authority Score is Semrush's 0 to 100 rating of a domain's overall quality, based on links, traffic and spam signals. It's not a Google metric.

Authority Score is Semrush's domain metric, scored from 0 to 100. It combines the quality of a site's backlinks, estimated organic traffic and spam indicators into one number. It's calculated within Semrush's own data.

Like DR and DA, it's a third party estimate. Google doesn't use it and can't see it. Because it includes traffic as well as links, it may rank some sites differently from the other two. That can be useful, but also confusing if you compare scores across tools.

Practical point: pick one or two metrics and stay consistent, so you can compare sites fairly. Don't mix numbers from different tools in the same table without saying which is which. Always open the site and look at it. A good score doesn't replace judging whether the site is real, relevant and read by people.
