PBN
Also called: Private blog network
A PBN is a group of sites built or bought to pass links to a money site. Google treats this as a link scheme and it carries real risk.
PBN stands for private blog network. It's a set of websites, often built on expired domains with some existing authority, that are controlled by one owner and used to link to the sites that pay for them. The sites exist for the links, not for readers.
Google's spam policies treat links made to manipulate rankings as a violation, and PBNs are a textbook case. They can work for a while, then fall when the network is found and devalued or penalized. Providers rarely tell you where your link will sit, which is part of the problem.
Practical point: ask any link provider to show the sites before you commit. Warning signs include a site with a wide mix of unrelated topics, thin posts, no real traffic, and an offer to place links quickly in bulk. If you can't visit the site and see a real audience, don't buy.
LinkHatch doesn't use PBNs or link farms.
