Content cluster

Also called: Topic cluster

A content cluster is a set of related pages on one subject, linked to each other, with one main page and several focused supporting articles.

A content cluster groups pages around one subject. There's usually a main page, called a pillar, that covers the topic broadly, and several supporting pages that go deeper into specific questions. The pages link to each other.

The structure helps readers move from a general question to detail without leaving your site. It also gives search engines a clear picture of how pages relate, and spreads internal links in a sensible way. It's a planning method, not a ranking trick, and it works only if each page is worth reading.

Practical point: start from real questions, from sales calls, support emails and Search Console queries. Give each page one clear purpose, so they don't compete for the same query. Link from supporting pages up to the pillar and across to close relatives. Review clusters for overlap and merge pages that say the same thing.
