Link insertion
Also called: Niche edit · Curated link
Link insertion means adding a link to your page inside an article that's already published, instead of writing a new post for it.
Link insertion is when a publisher adds a link to your page within an existing article. It's also called a niche edit or curated link. Instead of writing a new guest post, you find a page that already covers the topic and ask for a relevant mention.
The appeal is that the page may already be indexed and have history. The risk is that some insertions are bolted onto old posts with no real fit, which reads badly and can be a thin signal. The best ones add genuinely useful context, like a source for a statistic or a deeper guide.
Practical point: check the surrounding paragraph. It should make sense without your link, and the link should improve it. Confirm the page is indexable, the link is dofollow if that's what was agreed, and the article hasn't been abandoned or buried deep in the site.
At LinkHatch, clients approve every site before outreach, and each placement comes with a receipt.
